(Retired) Judge George Greer
George W. Greer was born in New York City and moved with his family to Dunedin, Florida when he was 4 years of age. He attended local schools graduating from Clearwater High School and St. Petersburg Junior College. He received his BS degree from Florida State University in 1964, his JD degree from the University of Florida in 1966 and he was admitted to the Florida Bar in November of that year. He practiced law in Clearwater, served two term on the Pinellas County Commission and was elected to the Circuit Court in 1992. He served for 18 years before retiring on December 31, 2010. Since leaving office, he has begun a mediation, arbitration and discovery dispute resolution practice. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Institute for Strategic Policy Solutions at St. Petersburg College.
